16 illegal job agencies closed in 2017/18

THE Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS) says that 16 illegal operators of private employment agencies were identified by its inspectors during the 2017/18 financial year.The MLSS says that of the 16 identified, three have since complied with the regulations to become legalised, while the others are closed.

TOURISM Minister Edmund Bartlett says discussions are being finalised for the acquisition of certain lands to expand the Devon House gastronomy space. Bartlett explained that the discussions involve “moving things around” to create proper parking spaces, “so that some of the facilities we now have for parking can (be used) for other things”.

‘Not enough women making use of contraceptives’
