Measles scare in the US

NEW YORK, USA (AP) — The number of US measles cases through the first three months of this year have surpassed the count for all of 2018, health officials say.There have been 387 cases through March, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported yesterday. There were 372 last year.The numbers are preliminary and may change, but the 2019 tally is already the most since 2014, when 667 were reported.

Two charged with murder of attorney face court today

TWO men who were arrested and charged with the murder of attorney Gareth Forbes are expected to appear in the Home Circuit Court today.The accused, Ferdinal Phipps and Kemar Marsden, are charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.Forbes, 49, was shot to death at his home in Oakridge, off Stillwell Road, Kingston 8, on January 17.
