Cops ID man shot dead in New Kgn Saturday

THE man killed in Saturday’s brazen daylight shooting in New Kingston has been identified by the police as 24-year-old Andre Smith of an Old Hope Road, Kingston 6, address. Another man who was shot in the incident is still being treated at hospital.Police report that on Saturday, at approximately 2:45 pm, two men drove up on a motorcycle and sprayed bullets on a car in a parking lot in close proximity to the offices of Knutsford Express.

The board of an all-age school in western Jamaica has accused the principal of financial impropriety involving just under $2 million and has recommended that the Ministry of Education remove him.In addition, the board is asking the ministry to use all legal options “to recover all monies, both unaccounted cash and overdraft charges” that they say the principal has “caused the school’s account to incur”.

Spanish Town Hospital receives $25m in medical equipment
