IDB sees need for faster information flow in region

JAMAICA and the rest of the region are being urged to reform and upgrade communication mechanisms to ensure fast and accurate flow of information between the tourism sector and disaster management agencies.The call has come from country representative for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and general manager of the bank’s Country Department Caribbean Group Therese Turner-Jones.

Jury to begin deliberations in double beheading case

OCG audit showed no financial

Three farmers shot outside Trelawny nightclub, two fatally

ST VINCENT, Trelawny — Two farmers were shot dead yesterday morning and another is battling for life in hospital after gunmen went berserk outside a nightclub in the normally quiet farming community of St Vincent, Trelawny.The dead men, both of Trelawny addresses, have been identified as 42-year-old Mark McHurdy of Freeman’s Hall, and Ricardo Williams, 31, of the Campbell Road section of St Vincent.
