June 16th, 2009 at 2:11 am I would like to know, hydel university college is accredited? if not would this affect the student who graduated in three years to get a job, they would more likely want to take the shortwoodites, the josephites and so on, is this waste of time? is the students money going to go down the drain? i would want to know because i am interested and i would not want this to happen to me. i am very concern i wish someone could explain this to me.

June 16th, 2009 at 8:41 pm Dear S. Edwards, We were informed by a member of the Hydel University College that the courses are Accredited. The new addition to the Hydel Group of Schools can accommodate 300 students initially. The new college will offer degree and diploma level training in Early Childhood and Primary Education on both a part time and full time basis, beginning September 1, 2009. The programme to be offered by the Hydel University College is geared towards pre-trained teachers already on the job, young people who are considering becoming teachers, as well as trained teachers, who already have a diploma, but desire an upgrade to the Bachelor’s degree in Education. Student-teachers will also benefit from ongoing teaching experience at the Group’s nursery, pre-school, junior and senior preparatory and high schools, Hydel said.
